Postpartum & Newborn Care

Cradled in care, recovery, and family connection. After your baby arrives, care continues with the same level of intention it began with, in your home, from the same midwife who's been with you all along.

what we offer

In-home visits, four to five times in the early weeks

• Monitoring your recovery and your baby's health together at every visit, including weight gain, feeding

patterns, and overall development

• Breastfeeding support, real, hands-on help with latch, supply, and any challenges that come up

• Postpartum mood screening, offered at visits and available anytime you ask

• Pelvic floor and physical recovery guidance, built around your healing, not a calendar

• Newborn screenings and care, including cord care, skin, hearing, and heart screening guidance

• Connection to additional resources or referrals whenever they'd help

how things look different at home

This is us practicing what we preach. Rest and bonding aren’t something we recommend; they’re what home postpartum care is built around. There is no loading everyone into the car days after birth, no getting a newborn, other children, or yourself all ready to leave the house just to be seen. We come to you instead, into the same space you are already healing in.

It is togetherness, mother and baby still recognized as one dyad, not pulled apart into separate rooms or separate providers, and it’s a midwife who understands how your family works. Someone who already knows who’s underfoot, who needs what, and how your household actually runs.

our postpartum & newborn care philosophy

Mother and baby are cared for together, as one unit, not split into separate appointments or separate charts. How you're healing affects how your baby is feeding. How your baby is feeding affects how you're recovering. This isn't a checklist; it's attentive, relational care centered on you as you step into life with your baby. You also have access to your midwife throughout your entire time in care, not just during scheduled visits, so you're never left wondering whether a concern is worth a call.
